Our Joy & God’s Delight or Delight over Duty

Fasting is a principle that God intended for everyone to be able to enjoy. It’s not a punishment; it’s a privilege! By making fasting a way of life, you can get closer to God and grow in your spiritual walk like never before. It’s only our flesh that complains…Lol   Fasting is one of the most powerful weapons God has given us for our daily lives and it is the prescription for exponential growth and healing.

As you fast, you will see godly changes in your home/family, prayers answered in incredible ways, wisdom gained about hard issues, and in it all, you will mostly appreciate that your own desires become secondary to God’s. It’s all about putting Him first, and letting our Shepherd lead the way every day. Without a doubt, fasting sets you on a great course every year.

Ps 37:23 says, “The steps of a man are established by the LORD, And He delights in his way” (nasb).

 Father, thank you that you love us as you love Jesus. Thank you that this promise is the foundation on which we stand. we want to know your heart more and more these days. Let us know the breadth and length, depth and height of your love more and more. We begin this fast with praise. Before we ask you for anything, thank you that you are our everything. In the name of He who died to save us… in Jesus mighty name, Amen.
