Distractions

During this time of fasting and consecration, it is important that we do not let the cares of this world distract us from our true focus, which is Christ. Hebrews 12:1-2 states,” Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith”.
The scripture tells us that we are to lay aside every weight and sin. The dictionary defines a weight as anything we attach importance or value to and sin is a separation from God. We cannot allow anything to become more valuable or separate us from the love of God. Anything or anyone could easily be a distraction if we do not stay focused. Be encouraged Saints to minimize the things in your life that could distract you from looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith.
