What are you holding on to?
What is in your hand and what are you holding on to? Sometimes, we hold on to things when they have far out-served their usefulness. An outdated or broken tool can make completing the job difficult and can even cause injury. Sometimes we become comfortable with broken things when the LORD is trying to take us into a new thing. Let’s take a look at Moses in Exodus 4. Prior to that point, Moses had not done anything extraordinary. The rod in his hand had been a trusted tool for years. When the lord tells him to throw it down, it becomes a serpent. Do you know what you are holding? Once he did what the Lord said and released it, he was able to do extraordinary things. Is there something you are holding onto instead of your faith in God? Will you release it today and begin your journey into your newness?
Lord, we release that thing that has held us and now we hold on to what you want us too. Our Faith is in you as you always know what is seen and unseen. You know what is best and nothing formed against us shall prosper.
Exodus 4: 2 And the Lord said unto him, What is that in thine hand? And he said, A rod.

23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
