DEVO 16

Act 2:1  “And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were with one accord in one place.” What does it mean to be in “One Accord”? Throughout scripture we see the Lord calling us to be in “one accord” with one another in the church. (Acts 1:14, 2:46, 4:24, 5:12, 15:12, 15:6)  We accept this, but I think so often we do so with our own idea of what “one accord” actually means. We should focus more on being in “one accord” in our prayers and supplication, fellowship and community, praising God, experiencing miracles, sending out missionaries, and glorify God. Imagine a body of Christ that can put aside denominational and ethnic difference, and truly be in “one accord”.  What if we would get in “one accord” at the core of the family structure and govern ourselves in unity before our spouse and our children. Think of what a light and salt of the earth we would be if only the church could get in “one accord”. Wake up Saints, we have to stop letting the most trivial of issue keep us from being in “one accord”. We must cease letting the most incidental and insignificant disputes tear and keep us apart. Do you not see the results of it. It’s called the 21st century. Let us get to getting about the father’s business! In Jesus Name. Amen!
