Our Prayer for Sutherland Springs Baptist Church

Father, thank you that you hear us & that you’re  a very present help in times of trouble.

We cannot imagine the pain of those who’ve lost loved ones as a result of this kind of evil.

Dear Lord, mend shattered families with your comfort. Help grieving mothers, fathers, husbands, wives,  friends & everyone close deal with sadness and anger.  We ask that you grant them the peace that surpasses understanding.

Thank you for the survivors & 1st responders.  We come against traumatic stress reactions to gunfire & nightmares. Lord, we pray for those left behind.  We ask for miracles as you block the traumatic experience of watching the death of friends, family and strangers alike.  Give them your amazing peace that surpasses understanding in their life as they struggle to move forward.

We lift up the wounded. Countless innocents are clinging to life. Others are mentally processing the damage done to their bodies by bullets. God almighty, heal the physical & emotional wounds. We speak life over them. Let each & every one if them bear witness to your miraculous healing. Let the world take note of your power in the midst if this tradgety.

Help the helpers Father. Give wisdom to the doctors,  nurses, surgeons, counselors, volunteers and ministers as they provide aide in the midst of this atrocity. Grant them supernatural strength.

Dear Lord,  we lift up the Pastor, his family and the leadership of Southerland Springs Baptist Church. Be with them as they balance grieving and leading in this tender time. Bring every kind of resource they will need in abundance. Cause then to increase and abound.  Show us all how to lovingly  respond to the hurt and suffering. Father move mightily  in the midst of this as only you can.  In the matchless name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen & Amen

2 Corinthians 1:3-5English Standard Version (ESV)

God of All Comfort

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For as we share abundantly in Christ’s sufferings, so through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too.
