Engage: In the Gap- For Faith for Peace

By: Min Elonida Wilkinson
Mark 11:22
And Jesus answering them “Have faith in God” ESV

Those who believe in God can have confidence that he will accomplish even the impossible, according to his sovereign will.

2 Corinthians 5:7
for we walk by faith not by sight

This is not reference to believe the unbelievable but to living all of one’s life based on confidence trust in God’s promises for the future even when one cannot yet see the fullness of the coming glory. (ESV Bible)

Isaiah 26:3
You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.

The peace described here is first the corporate peace of the city (verse 1) and the nation (verse 2) that comes from the “hand of the Lord” but it also the individual peace of the person whose mind is stayed on God. The source of such peace is the righteous, sovereign, saving God who will swallow up death forever and will wipe away every tear and who alone is worthy of trust. (ESV Bible)

Walking with the Lord “ in peace and uprightness “ means to maintain harmony with Him by faith and obedience and so to enjoy His peace.
( Holman Bible Dictionary)

Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We are interceding and standing in the gap praying for the body of Christ, our nation, our leaders, and our families that their faith my not be lost nor wavered in mist of any and all situations and circumstances that they maybe facing during this time. Heavenly Father we ask that if anyone has lost faith in you we are trusting and believing that their faith will be restored stronger then it was before. Lord we thank you for your peace that surpasses all understanding . Lord we thank you that you promised to keep us in perfect peace as long as our minds stay on you . Lord I pray they keep their minds on you and your promises and not on their troubles or issues that they are facing. Lord I pray John 14:27 Peace I leave with you my peace I give unto you not as the world giveth, give I unto you, let not your heart be troubled, neither be afraid. In Jesus name Amen and Amen !!!!
