Engage: In the Gap – Faith for Healing

By Elder Vanessa Hamilton
Isaiah 53:5

Isaiah, a prophet of God, spoke to the children of Israel to bring them hope, during a time where they had lost their faith.  Some rebelled against the prophecy that God was going to send His “seed” to save them from the wickedness that was all around them.  This present seed and hope would be, as we know today, Jesus, the Christ our Lord and Savior who says, I am the Lord thy God that healeth thee.

He desires for us to trust Him with our sins, aches, pains, doctors’ diagnosis, mental thoughts, and all other issues of life that make us sick. Why? Because He bore all those things on Calvary’s cross.

He has given us the weapon of prayer.  If we ask Him anything according to His will, He hears and answers us.  In prayer, through faith He says, I have healed thee.

As we have the faith for healing, understanding that He has the perfect plan, and trust that it’s His way; with assurance, we can hear Him say, that all things work together for good to them who love me and are called according to my purpose.

As we read Isaiah, by faith, God sent His son to die for all sickness, disease, and all things that harm us, “He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and with His stripes, we are healed.”
Again, He says, “trust me, have faith and be healed.”

I encourage you to believe on Him today. Cast all your cares upon me, says the Lord, for I care for you.
