Vision For My Church

By Min. Talesha Williams

Acts 2:46-47, “So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.”

This passage of scripture in Acts is titled Fellowship of Believers. One online dictionary definition of fellowship is a group of people meeting to pursue a shared interest or aim. That’s what the church was created for; to remain on one accord with a shared interest of living our lives for the glory of God! God is pleased when His children endeavor to live according to what pleases Him. The more we live for the Him, the more His joy strengthens our bond and our fellowship with one another. As we work daily towards our oneness, while operating in unity, God will command the blessings and increase in every area of our lives. This daily reflection of the church enjoying, sharing, and caring for one another, will cause more people to be drawn to Him.

PRAYER: Father God, You are so good, merciful, full of grace, and full of love. Thank you for this day and every day that you bless us to have. Thank You for giving us Christ as the head of the church, shepherds after Your own heard, and setting members in the body as it pleases You. Thank You Jesus for gifting the church with apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers to equip the saints for the work of the ministry (Ephesians 4:13). We declare Psalms 91, God’s hedge of protection over the church, and denounce all attacks against the church. We are a solid rock, on the solid foundation of the knowledge of Jesus Christ, and the gates of hell shall never prevail against us. We pray that people are drawn to the church from the North, South, East and West to seek refuge, find peace, provision, hope, love, accept salvation and rededicate their lives to the Lord Jesus Christ. We pray that stewardship and discipleship are cultivated, as every joint supplies, and members remain vigilant, steadfast, willing, and obedient to God’s Word. We pray that the church will have consistent, faithful, and cheerful givers, whose generosity extends beyond the four walls of the building. We pray that the church continues to be a place where people can encounter the unconditional love of Jesus and worship Him freely. Thank You Lord for providing a place where healing is restored, the broken are made whole, and people gather together in unity, for that’s where You command the blessing. We love You and give You all the honor, glory, and praise for Your vision for the church. In Jesus Name we pray, Amen.
