We want to be a community that is most excited about our relationship with Jesus Christ & carrying The Gospel. We believe that loving Him is pursued in every facet of our lives—with our time, talent, treasures and more—as we consider the all-encompassing implications of the Word of God. Individually we trust to simply keep His commandments as we grow in our knowledge and love for HIM (John 14:15). Corporately we nurture this love for Christ by gathering as a church to worship through preaching, teaching, singing, praying and celebrating life.
Truly loving each other is an amazing opportunity that involves mutual care, consistency, and authenticity as we seek to worship God and encourage the work of Christ in our lives. Though each Christian has a personal relationship with God, we believe the Bible teaches that our relationship with God is meant to be lived out in community with families. The Bible calls us Members of the Body (1 Corinthians 12:12-31) with the expectation that we contribute to the Body for the glory of God and the good of His people, serving each other with words and actions. (Acts 2:42-47, Hebrews 3:12-13, 1 Corinthians 12:12-31).
Loving Christ and loving each other leads us to reach out in love to those around us. We want to be committed to loving the surrounding communities in word and deed. With our words we want to proclaim the Gospel, so that people might hear and put their faith in Jesus (Romans 10:13-15). With our deeds we want to display the radical love that God has for Fayetteville & the neighboring cities, so that people might see our good works and give glory to God (Matthew 5:16). By saying that we love the city, we aren’t trying to be exclusive. We believe that if we allow God’s love to be our love, then God can take our steps of faithfulness and use them to turn us into a multiplying community that will spread beyond our city to wherever God leads.
